Maria Dautruche is a strategic leader and facilitator dedicated to building equitable, thriving communities. With nearly two decades of experience in fundraising, program development, and racial equity leadership, she brings a unique ability to bridge vision with practical execution helping organizations drive meaningful and sustainable change.
Maria has successfully raised millions of dollars for organizations like the National Urban League, the Smithsonian Institution, and New York Edge, not just by securing resources but by cultivating lasting partnerships. Her early career included leadership roles at renowned cultural institutions such as Wave Hill, the Brooklyn Museum, and Jazz at Lincoln Center, giving her a deep understanding of nonprofit strategy, donor engagement, and organizational growth.
In addition to her fundraising expertise, Maria is a skilled facilitator and program designer with experience in racial equity initiatives, leadership development, and strategic planning. She has worked with organizations like Race Forward and the YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester, leading initiatives that empower teams to navigate change effectively. As an Rx Racial Healing Circle Co-Facilitator and a Culture of Health Racial Healing Leadership Institute cohort member, she integrates inclusive, people-centered approaches into every engagement.
Maria holds a BA in Africana Studies and Communications & Rhetoric from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master’s in Art and Cultural Management from Pratt Institute, and a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) designation from the American College of Financial Services.
